Delete a roll call you no longer need

Free + Pro

Remove one session from your workspace and disable its check-in link.

View 3 steps

Follow these steps

3 steps
  1. 1

Open the roll call, select More, then Delete roll call. Only its owner or an authorized organization manager can delete it.

  2. 2

Read the confirmation and export any report you need before continuing. Choose Cancel to keep it.

  3. 3

Select Delete roll call to remove the session from active and archived lists, its series, and organizer attendance reports.

Good to know: Deleting one session does not delete its series, saved roster, or recurring schedule. Semester percentages may change, and course reports need at least two remaining sessions. Historical service analytics are retained. Records remain recoverable by support, but there is no self-service undo; use Archive if you want to restore the session yourself.

Organize repeat attendance into a series

Free + Pro

Keep sessions for the same class, team, or group together without changing their attendance records.

View 6 steps

Follow these steps

6 steps
  1. 1

On the Dashboard, leave Series view selected to see related sessions together as one series card.

  2. 2

Open a roll call's actions, choose Group, and create a series name or select an existing series.

  3. 3

Add the other matching roll calls to that same series. Existing titles, links, join codes, and attendance stay unchanged.

  4. 4

To change the series name later, use Manage on the series card. In Compact view, open the three-dot menu and select Manage series. Then choose Rename series and save the new name.

  5. 5

Use Next session on the series card to duplicate the latest setup. New sessions are named with the next number, such as Biology 101 — Session 3.

  6. 6

Select Individual sessions whenever you want to view or manage every roll call separately.

Good to know: The same series tools are available in Personal and Organization workspaces. Organization permissions still apply. Recurring Schedules group automatically and new scheduled sessions use their date in the title, such as Biology 101 — Aug 25, 2026.

Track a class across the academic term

Pro

See each student’s attendance across your class sessions in one report. Set it up once, then return whenever you need it.

View 5 steps

Follow these steps

5 steps

Before you start: Pro, an active Pro trial, or eligible Organization access; permission to manage the series; two or more roll calls in the same series; and a saved student roster.

  1. 1

Open the Dashboard and select Series view. Find your class series, such as Biology 101. You can use sessions you already created.

  2. 2

Open Course report from the series card. In Compact view, open the three-dot menu and select Course report. If a manual series does not show Course report yet, select Manage—or three dots → Manage series in Compact view—then select Set up course report.

  3. 3

Enter a term name, such as Fall 2026, and select your saved student roster.

  4. 4

Choose an attendance threshold, such as 75%, then select Enable semester tracking. The threshold highlights students below that percentage; it does not send alerts.

  5. 5

Review each student’s attendance or select Export CSV. After setup, a clearly labeled Course report button stays available on the course series and its sessions in Card, Compact, Series, and All Sessions views.

Need help? Button locations and report details
  • Need a series? Follow the series guide above. Need a student roster? Create one in Saved rosters before returning here.
  • For new roll calls, choose School or class under What are you using this roll call for? The category makes Course report available on a series but does not enable tracking. Existing manual series can use Manage → Set up course report without that category; in Compact view, use three dots → Manage series → Set up course report.
  • For a recurring series without Course report, attach a saved roster to a session or use the School or class category. In Compact view, open the three-dot menu on the series.
  • Setup attaches the selected roster to existing sessions. Future recurring sessions inherit the course settings. Organization viewers cannot configure tracking.
  • Present and Late count as attended. Excused and Upcoming sessions are excluded from the rate. Future dates use your local calendar date. Today’s attendance is provisional.
  • Absent means an expected student has no attendance record for today or a past session. A dash means no countable sessions yet. Report access requires an eligible plan and at least two sessions; losing access does not delete attendance data.

Good to know: Setup is optional and only needed once per course series. Your normal check-in process stays the same. Eligible Pro organizers may see a Dashboard suggestion that opens this setup directly; dismissing it hides the suggestion for 30 days.

Questions and answers

Clear answers to the questions organizers ask most often.

Do participants need an account or app?

No. Participants can scan a QR code, follow a direct link, or enter a join code and check in from a browser without creating an account or downloading an app.

What is included on the Free plan?

Free supports up to three roll calls in a rolling 30-day period and up to 50 check-ins per roll call. It includes QR and code check-in, basic attendance statuses, one custom question, printable QR signs, organizer status corrections, and CSV export.

What does Pro add?

Pro adds unlimited roll calls and check-ins, saved rosters and roster check-off, Kiosk Mode, sharing with other Pro organizers, recurring schedules, advanced reports, participant check-out, up to five custom questions, direct Google Sheets export, and other organizer controls.

Can I correct a participant's status?

Yes. An authorized organizer can change a participant between Present, Late, and Excused from the attendance table. The updated status is reflected in reports and exports.

Can I see who is still onsite?

Yes, when a Pro organizer enables Participant check-out for that roll call. The organizer view and Reports show onsite and checked-out totals, and exports include check-out time and duration.

Can I export attendance to Google Sheets?

Every organizer can download CSV and open it in Google Sheets. Pro organizers can export the current attendance record directly to a new Google Sheet with one click.

What happens when I cancel Pro?

Your roll calls, attendance, rosters, and reports remain saved. Pro-only actions are unavailable after entitlement ends, while the Free plan's available features continue to work.

Why can a participant not check in?

Confirm that the join code is correct, the roll call is open, the participant is not blocked, and the Free plan's 50-check-in session limit has not been reached.

How do I organize roll calls that repeat?

Group related roll calls into an Attendance Series from the Dashboard. Existing session titles and attendance remain unchanged. When you create the next session from a manual series, iRollCall adds the next Session number. Instances created by a Recurring Schedule use the session date in the title.

How do shared roll-call permissions work?

A Pro owner can invite another Pro organizer as Viewer, Attendance Manager, or Editor. The owner retains ownership, billing, deletion, and sharing control.

How can I share feedback about iRollCall?

After you have used iRollCall successfully for a while, you may see one brief feedback question on the Dashboard. It never appears during check-in, Kiosk Mode, roll-call creation, or checkout. Choose Not now to pause it for 30 days, or Don’t ask again to turn it off. You can always open Support to send feedback or suggest a feature.

How do I get personal help or suggest a feature?

Open Support to send a message or submit a product idea. Replies are sent from iRollCall Support.

Still need help?

Send iRollCall Support a message or suggest an idea. Include what you were trying to do and what happened.
